The big picture. That’s what’s been on my mind these days. I think I scared myself last week when I realized that this baby is coming soon. There’s a major shift in mentality when you go from counting how many weeks you’ve been pregnant to how many more weeks you will be pregnant.
And we’re at ten, officially. I was rounding down last week. April 15th is in the scope and it’s time to get ready.
It’s also time to organize, consolidate, and determine which projects need to be put on the back burner. Designing a website is the first casualty–but creating an online portfolio has taken its place. Getting a grasp on Photoshop stays but relocating the blog goes. Finishing up the rather large pile of unfinished work steps up to the plate but new developments for The Shop are sent to the bench.
Sigh. I wish I could do it all. All the time. Perfectly.
But I can’t. And soon my body will get (even) bigger and it will all slow down (even) more. It’s a good time to work on the “big picture” stuff. A good time to rest. A good time to enjoy our happy little family of three before we become a somewhat-confused-and-very-tired-but-eventually-very-happy little family of four.
A good time to prepare for the changes to come.
